About Me
My name is Dishita Sai Eluri
I am a high school senior at Woodbridge Academy Magnet School, NJ. I'm a researcher, EMT, and menstrual health advocate passionate about improving access to menstrual products and education for young girls and underserved women.
As the co-founder of W.R.A.P. (Women's Rights Associated with Products) and creator of Period Promise, I work to break the stigma surrounding periods by combining awareness, education, and direct action. Through school presentations, community outreach, and sustainable menstrual product initiatives, my goal is to ensure that every girl has the knowledge and resources she needs to thrive.
Alongside my advocacy work, I pursue biomedical research, clinical experiences, and healthcare leadership opportunities as I prepare for a future career in medicine.
Together, we can make menstrual health education accessible to every girl.

My Mission
My mission is to make sure every girl has access to menstrual health education and basic hygiene products.
Through awareness, starter kits, and community outreach, my goal is to help girls feel prepared, confident, and supported.
Leadership
Period Promise, Founder and President
Founded Period Promise to advance menstrual health education and address period poverty through community outreach, advocacy, and essential hygiene resource initiatives. Donated menstrual health kits to women's shelters, conducted live webinars, and interviewed health experts.
Class of 2027 Vice President
Serve as a student leader organizing school events, managing social media pages, communicating with students and faculty, and helping strengthen school engagement and community involvement. Helped raise over $4,000. Formerly served as class secretary for one year.
HOSA Vice President
As Vice President of Woodbridge Academy HOSA, one of the largest HOSA chapters in New Jersey, I help coordinate chapter operations by organizing meetings, planning events, fundraising, managing competition registration and testing logistics, and overseeing merchandise distribution.
Community Service Leader
For over a decade, I have supported food drives, meal distributions, hygiene kit initiatives, and community outreach programs benefiting seniors, veterans, families, and underserved populations.
Co-President, Woodbridge Academy Dance Team
Lead team operations as chief choreographer, coordinate performances, and mentor fellow students while promoting teamwork, discipline, and school spirit.
Co-Founder, WRAP (Women's Rights Associated with Products)
Presented menstrual health initiative at Rutgers University and district-wide educational conferences, reaching more than 70 educators and community leaders.

My Research Projects
1 - University of Mississippi: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Endometriosis Research
Authoring a 4,000+ word biomedical research paper on endometriosis and PCOS under the mentorship of Dr. Katie Wilwohl, with planned submission to the International Journal of High School Research.
2 - Rutgers Waksman Institute Research
Completed molecular biology and bioinformatics research focused on duckweed genetics. Successfully published two original DNA sequences in the NCBI GenBank database, contributing to genomic research and scientific discovery.
3 - Menstrual Health Research
Partnering with EcoWits to study menstrual equity, public health education, and sustainable sanitary products while leading outreach initiatives and community-based health research projects.

Studied Carnatic vocal music for 6 years and studying Carnatic harmonium, building skills in melody, rhythm, and performance. Through regular training and performances, developed a strong appreciation for Indian classical music and its rich traditions.
